Who I am
I'm Callum Fackrell, a registered childminder in Rochester, Kent. I work alongside another registered childminder from the same setting, and I make and run GoChildmind on my own.
I registered with Ofsted in February 2025, on my own and without an agency. Before I took on my first family I wrote my own contract, policies and family form against the EYFS, because the templates I'd been given were years out of date and didn't match how we work.
Why I made it
Every childminder writes the same paperwork, mostly alone, and most of us start from a friend's old template. Families fill in the same details for every setting and rarely know where their child's information ends up.
GoChildmind is the paperwork I use in my own setting, opened up so other childminders can use it too. You answer questions about how you work and it writes your contract and policies, with each child's fees worked out. Families fill in their details on their phone and send them back as a locked file, or a PDF if they prefer, so nobody has to retype anything.
What you can rely on
- It's written against the EYFS for childminders that applies from 1 September 2026 and the current funded hours guidance, and I update it when the rules change.
- Children's details never leave the device they're typed on. I can't see anything you or your families type.
- The contract protects your income and reads as fair to parents, in plain English.
- It's a template, not legal advice, and it's for childminders in England only.
My registration

At my first inspection, in June 2026, Ofsted judged the setting Strong standard for behaviour, attitudes and establishing routines, and for children's welfare and wellbeing, and Expected standard for achievement, curriculum and teaching, inclusion, and leadership and governance. Safeguarding standards were met. In the inspector's words, "Children are very happy, settled and confident."
